FLIGHT TEST ENGINEER

In the framework of a Flight Simulator and new P180 version programs flight test activities to be undertaken on Company Experimental Aircraft the resource shall accomplish the following tasks:

• Provide functional area expertise for test pilots in real time as certified control room personnel.
• Provide support for test operations.
• Provide supports for tests in flight and on ground on aircraft and from mission control rooms.
• Develop test procedures, participate to mission briefings & and test from control room and onboard P180 Experimental Airplane
• Support flight test activities through real-time data monitoring and post-test data analysis.
• Collect data and complete data analysis to support aircraft certification.
• Perform test data analysis and systems evaluation.
• Develop computer based data analysis tools for specific flight test data and Test Point Efficiency tracking using both MATLAB and Excel.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Familiar with the Experimental Test phases and process in aeronautical field;
• Familiar with Flight Test Execution and flight civil certification and military homologation process
• Familiar with Data Analysis software
• Familiar with AFM
• Fluent Technical English language (written and spoken);
• MS Office 2010 package (good level)

PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

• Degree in aerospace engineering;
• Demonstrable previous experiences (minimum 5 years) in Flight Test Program execution and minimum 50 experimental hours flown on experimental airplane
• Familiar with CS23/FAR23 certification process
• Experience with and knowledge of testing turboprop engines in aerospace applications, to include ground and flight test is highly desired.
• A background in / experience with system-level safety decision-making, risk assessment, and Test Hazard Analysis is highly desired.
• Must be able to lead a team of engineers to solve complex engineering and integration problems.
• Flight Test Engineer Qualification.
